Ruby Birchmore Bond, 76, of 15309 Hwy 56 North and widow of Sobieski Louis Bond passed away April 5, 2019 at her home.
She was born in Lexington and was the daughter of the late Charlie Edward Birchmore and Clara Mae Miller Birchmore.
Mrs. Bond is survived by her son, William Charles Bond (Teresa) of Clinton; her daughter, Stephanie Bond Sinakhonerath (Kane) of Fort Mill; brother, James Birchmore; sisters, Pearl Fallow (Charles) and Edna Barker; grandchildren, William Christopher Bond, Jessica Bond Sweatman (Robert), Kaylen Emma Sinakhonerath; great-grandchild, Vivian Sweatman; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents she is predeceased by her brothers, Claude Birchmore and Frank Birchmore; a sister, Clara Romines.
Ruby was known for her fiery spirit and her dance skills which she lovingly shared with her family. Her son and daughter are proud to have inherited both her enviable dancing abilities and her gift of eloquently using profanity where appropriate (like any good Southern lady should be able to). She worked as a caring nurse who gave so much of herself. Ruby was one of those rare down-to-earth women who tirelessly loved and cared for her family.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 5:30 PM the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
