Ruby Boyce Cooper, age 85 of 4367 Hwy 72W and widow of O. C. Cooper, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2007.
She was born in Clinton and was a daughter of the late John Broadus and Minnie Frances Matthews Boyce.
She was a homemaker; a founding member of Rock Bridge Presbyterian Church and was active in the choir.
Surviving are one son, Roger Cooper of Orlando, FL; three daughters, Sue Freeman of Clayton, NC, Jane Martin of Laurel MS and Cynthia Barnett of Miami, Fl; three brothers, Thomas Boyce of Spartanburg, Wallace Boyce and Earl Boyce both of Clinton, two sisters, Gladys Neal of Greenwood and Pauline Hughes of Columbia; seven grandchildren, Michelle Peele of Raleigh, NC, Jenny Williamson of Greenville, Maridyth Nardone of Tamarac, FL, Adam Barnett of Gainesville, FL, Kevin Barnett of Alexandria, VA, Elizabeth Thornburgh and Danyelle Martin both of Hattiesburg, MS and three great-grandchildren, Cameron Peele of Raleigh, NC, Jimmy Stepp of Flat Rock, NC and Dane Williamson of Greenville.
She was predeceased by a brother, Clarence Boyce and a sister, Anna McInvaille.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday, Dec. 14th at 11:30 a.m. at Rock Bridge Presbyterian Church Cemetery by Dr. Jerrold Burnside.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gray Funeral Home.
