Ruby Lanford Gossett of 12020 Highway 56, Cross Anchor, S.C. died March 31st at her home. She was the widow of the late W.A. Gossett and the daughter of the late Oscar and Ethel Fleming Lanford of Lanford Station, S.C. She was the last and youngest of their eight children. She and her husband were not blessed with children but she is survived by some “like children’ devoted neighbors, nieces and nephews. She will be buried in the Yarborough Chapel cemetery by her husband. She will be buried on Saturday, April 8th at 2 o’clock. There will be only a graveside service. Omit flowers and give a donation to the Memorial Fund of the Yarborough Chapel Cemetery. There will be no visitation. She was a nurse for the state of South Carolina for many years. She worked at Whitten Center in Clinton.
