Ruth Huey Wilson, age 73, wife of Lowry M. Wilson, Jr. passed to her heavenly home Sunday, January 4, 2015, at the Baptist Easley Hospital.
She was born Oct. 4, 1941, in Laurens, S.C., and was the daughter of the late James A. and Mary Durham Huey.
Mrs. Wilson was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church in Powdersville, SC. She grew up in Clinton, S.C. where she met her husband who was the love of her life for 55 years.
Surviving are three children and their spouses, Lowry M. “Trip” Wilson, III and Leslie of Pickens, S.C., Jimmy A. Wilson and Martie of Durham, N.C. and D’etra Fitch and Joe of Powdersville, S.C.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Jimmy Huey and Fred Huey, who is survived by his wife, Frances.
Graveside services will be held at Rosemont Cemetery, Clinton, SC, on Wednesday, January 7th at 2 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Providence Presbyterian Church, 4000 Highway 153, Greenville, South Carolina 29611-7404.
