Ruth B. Hughes age 72 of 605 Farley Ave., died Sunday, December 5, 2010 at the Laurens County Hospice House in Clinton.
She was born in Greenville, SC and was a daughter of the late Louis and Katie Barnes Butler.
Mrs. Hughes was a former employee of J.P. Stevens, Watts Plant, a member of the Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church and the Sullivan Dunklin Chapter of the D.A.R.
Surviving are her husband, Bruce Hughes of the home; two daughters, Debra Hughes Marchman and husband, Tommy, Lynn Hughes Bailes and husband, Greg; three granddaughters, Brantley, Meagan and Taylor Marchman; one grandson, Grayson Bailes all of Laurens and one brother, John Butler of Alaska.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Hughes was predeceased by two sisters, Katherine Heaton, Mary Dawkins and three brothers, Robert, Tommy and Louis Butler.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, Dec. 7th at 11:00 a.m. at the Forest Lawn Cemetery by Rev. David Bonner.
The family will greet friends at the cemetery following the service.
