Sadie Williams Clayton

 Sadie Williams Clayton, 84, went on to meet the lord peacefully at her home on Saturday, February 1, 2025.

 Sadie was born April 28,1940 and was the daughter of the late Fred and Irene Bailey Williams. Sadie loved God, her children, and her entire extended family. She was a member of the Laurens Church of God and enjoyed a number of hobbies. She especially enjoyed reading romance novels, softball, gardening, flowers, and a unique love of Betty Boop. 

 Sadie is survived by two sisters Sybil Caulder and Freida Watkins both of Durham, NC; her two sons Kenneth Clayton (Christina) and Steve Clayton (Sandie); her two stepsons, Randy Clayton (Cecile Ann) and Andy Young (Jessica); her six grandchildren. Austin, Tyler, Kayleigh and Bo Clayton, Kendra Ladd (James), Austin Cornelius (Lauren) and her three great-grandchildren.

 In addition to her parents and her husband Tommy Clayton, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Curtis and Robert Williams. 

 A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Laurens with Rev. Bryan Malone and Rev. Austin Cornelius officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Gray Funeral Home of Laurens. 

 In lieu of flowers, the family asked for donations to the VIA Hospice House, P O Box 178, Clinton SC 29325
