Samuel Audry Nelson

Samuel Audry Nelson, age 72, husband of Bonita Dalton Nelson, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025 at his home.

He was born March 2, 1953 in Spartanburg, South Carolina and was the son of the late Willie Lee Nelson and Beaufort Joy West Nelson. He was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

In addition to his wife of 33 years, Samuel is survived by his daughters, Cameo Nelson Hollingsworth (Matthew), Beverly Dianne Spivey (Fred); his son, James Timothy Wooten; his stepson, Brad Eugene Carlton; his honorary daughter, Brandy Fuller; his grandchildren, Edward Nelson Hollingsworth, Logan Wooten, Cheyene Spivey, Brittany Campbell, Jade Carlton, Zack Wooten, Kahne Wooten, Aliana English; his great-grandchildren, Aubree Whitlock, Bo Walls, Liam Whitlock, Jensyn Ross; his brother, Jerry Nelson (Janice); his sisters, Pat Thomas and Joy Flowers.

Samuel is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Betty Brice and Judy Krail; special uncle, Hunter Nelson and special aunt, Rebecca Nelson.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 3:00 PM at First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Mark Entrekin officiating. The family will greet visitors prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the church.
