Samuel S. Williams, age 82 of 106 Oakland St. died Sunday, June 1, 2008 in the Laurens County Hospital.
He was born in Great Falls and was a son of the late Franklin and Mabel Robinson Williams.
Mr. Williams retired from Clinton Mills Plant #1 as Plant Manager. He was involved with Boy Scouts of America, and also with Junior Achievements. He served as a computer consultant for the state of South Carolina and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Evelyn Thompson Williams of the home; three daughters, Debbie and Bob Basha of Isle of Palms, Melody Jordan of North Charleston and Kimberly and Johnny Thomas of Clinton; a step-son, George and Gayle Thompson of Clinton; a step-daughter, Anne and Bobby Loudermilk of Spartanburg; one sister, Mabel Williams of Great Falls; seven grandchildren, Charles Davenport, Scott Coleman, Amy Pitts, Robert Samuel Basha, Sara Ann Jordan, Michael Basha and Kyle Thomas; five step grandchildren, Lori (Jay) Gardner, Allison (Donald) Thompson, Lynn (Kimberly) Godfrey, Chara (Sam) Hosom, Merissa (Johnny) Ramantanin; five great grandchildren and thirteen step great grandchildren.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his first wife, Ann Quinton Williams, and three brothers, Tal Williams, Charlie Williams and Robert Williams.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 4th at 2:00 p.m. in the Calvary Baptist Church with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
