Sandra Gregory Alexander

Sandra Gregory Alexander age 71, of 487 Tranquil Drive and widow of Dr. Kenneth W. Alexander passed away Thursday, Feb. 16th 2017 at the Hospice of Laurens County.
She was born in Union, SC and was a daughter of the late Furman Maurice Gregory and Lillian Middlebrooks Gregory.
Sandra was a graduate of Union High School, Class of 1964 and attended Lander College in Greenwood. She worked in the Admissions Department of Presbyterian College for 42 years before retiring and volunteering her time at the Laurens County Chamber of Commerce. Sandra was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church of Laurens.
Surviving are her two sons, Greg Alexander (Julie) of Laurens, Jon Alexander (Amy) of Cheraw; a brother, Furman Maurice Gregory II (Toni) of Gainesville, GA; her sister, Elizabeth Gregory Wilson (Barry) of Chester and six grandchildren, Jon Matheson, Thomas, Noah, Lily Cathryn, Gabrielle and Jackson Alexander.
A private graveside service at Westview Memorial Park will be followed by a memorial service on Monday, February 20th at 11:00 A.M. in the First Presbyterian Church of Laurens.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. at the Gray Funeral Home of Laurens.
