Sara Pennington Hill

 Sara Pennington Hill, of Laurens, SC, widow of James R. Hill, Sr., passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025, at PRISMA Health Laurens County Hospital. 

 She was born in Laurens County and was the daughter of the late George and Sara Lena Cisson Pennington. She was a former employee of Laurens Mill and was of the Church of God faith.

 Mrs. Hill is survived by her stepsons, James R. “Bobby” Hill, Jr. and Kenneth Hill of Gray Court; her stepdaughter, Stephanie Boyce of Irmo; her sisters, Louise Owens and Ellen Robertson of Laurens; and numerous nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.

 In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her brothers, James Pennington, William Pennington; and her sisters, Helen Pennington, Roberta Jones, Dorothy Scott, Jeanette Carlton and Ruth Ford.

 Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. James Owens and Rev. Ben Rumph officiating.
