Sara Bonds Nabors

July 18, 1911 — June 4, 2008

Sara Bonds Nabors, age 96, of 3402 Whitmire Hwy. and widow of John Clifton Nabors died Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at her home.
She was born in Laurens County and was the daughter of the late Eddy and Harriet McCarley Bonds.
Mrs. Nabors was the Co-Owner of Nabors Grocery at Bonds Cross Roads and was the oldest member at Fairview Baptist Church where she was active in church and Sunday School until her declining health. She also participated in home demonstrations at the Shady Grove Community and was the last remaining founder of the Bonds Cross Roads community.
She is survived by a daughter, Lynn Keller Nabors of the home; a future son-in-law, Dan Jackson and a special pet “Mr. Precious”; two nieces, Linda Sexton and Joanne Hughes; three nephews, William and Wayne Satterwhite and Sid Bonds and a sister-in-law, Cindy Bonds.
She was predeceased by a brother, Joe Bonds, a sister, Mary Keller Satterwhite and Huey T. Bonds who was reared and loved as a son, who is survived by three daughters considered to be special nieces, Crystal B. Dunlap, Karen Bonds, and Janet B. Abercrombie.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 4:00 p.m. at Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
