Sara Elmolene Farmer Nix, age 85, formerly of Joanna and widow of William Lewis Nix died Monday, January 11, 2010 in the NHC of Laurens.
She was born in Greenwood and was the daughter of the late William Wesley and Susan Clifford Franklin Farmer.
Mrs. Nix was a member of the Breakthrough Tabernacle Church.
She is survived by a son, Bill Nix of NC and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Nix was predeceased by eight siblings.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Pinelawn Memory Gardens in Clinton.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
