Sarah Lois Rice, age 71, of 627 Compton Road. died Friday, July 7, 2006 at her home. She was born in Union County and was the daughter of the late Herman and Dora Paris Phipps.
Mrs. Rice was retired from School District 56 and was a member of Bellview Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Charles S. Rice of the home; three sons and daughters-in-laws, Stanley Rice Jr. and wife Susan of Laurens, David Rice and wife Angie of Laurens, Darren Rice and wife Jackie of Clinton; a daughter, Debra Caudill of Union; nine grandchildren, Colby Rice and wife Jessica, Caleb Rice, Jennifer Caudill, Kasey Panaras and husband Chris, Krystal Binns and husband Jeffrey, Destiny Rice, Michael Rice, Drew Rice and Adam Caudill and one great grandchild, Ethan Edwards.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Bellview Baptist Church in Laurens with interment in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 to 2:30p.m. in the Bellview Church choir room.
