Sara Stribling Cannon

Sara Stribling Cannon, age 92, of 1721 Old Milton Road, and widow of John Claude Cannon, died Friday, July 21, 2006 in the Laurens County Hospital.
She was born in Spartanburg County and was a daughter of the late Jim Boyd and Anna Parham Stribling.
Mrs. Cannon was retired from District 56 school food services and was a member of Rock Bridge Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Janice Cannon Shifferly of Clinton; two brothers, William Stribling of Cross Anchor and Ed Stribling of Charleston; three sisters, Frances Stribling Brice of Cross Anchor, Mary Anna Holland of Clinton, Ginny Smith of Pauline; four grandchildren, Norman Glen Shifferly, Nancee Switzer, Terry Lee Shifferly, Tracy Shifferly; three great-grandchildren, Alan Shifferly, Joy Shifferly, and Michael Switzer. She was predeceased by two brothers, R.M. Stribling of Cross Anchor, James Boyd Stribling of Brevard, NC, and a sister, Maggie Willard of Cross Anchor.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at the Rock Bridge Presbyterian Church with burial at Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the Rock Bridge Presbyterian Church.
