Sherman Lee McCarson, age 80, of 8126 Old Milton Road died Friday, July 11, 2008 at his home.
He was born in Clinton and was the son of the late Joseph and Minnie Lee Seay McCarson.
Mr. McCarson was retired and is survived by his wife, Virginia Bishop McCarson of the home; three daughters, Janice Canupp, Kathy Crain and Delores Osborne all of Clinton; a son, Larry McCarson of Clinton; a brother, Clarence McCarson of Piedmont; 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Dennis McCarson; a sister, Elizabeth Jennings; 4 brothers, Thomas, James, Fred and Walter McCarson and a grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Little River Dominick Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
