Shirley Hedgepath Bannister

Shirley Hedgepath Bannister, age 82, of 874 AB Jacks Road, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at the Presbyterian Home in Clinton.
She was born in Clinton, SC and was a daughter of the late John William Hedgepath and Bertie Mae Purcell Hedgepath, and was the last surviving child of their 14 children. She was a graduate and majorette of Clinton High School, was retired from Torrington Bearing Company, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Bannister was an avid walker, loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be missed for vivacious love of life, her ability to make others laugh and her caring spirit.
Ms. Bannister is survived by her three sons, Mike Cogsdill, Lee Templeton (Ellen), and Wayne Templeton all of Clinton; her six grandchildren, Natalie Cogsdill, Austin Cogsdill, Grant Templeton, Colby Templeton, Rebecca Cogsdill, and Nolan Templeton; and her two great-grandchildren, Paisley Cogsdill and Evan Bohms.
In addition to her parents and her family, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Sara Bailey Templeton.
Memorial Services will be held Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 2 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 2 PM at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church, 702 N. Sloan St., Clinton, SC 29325.
The family will be at the home of her son, Lee Templeton, 307 S. Owens Street, Clinton, SC 29325.
