Shirley Shockley, age 78, of 162 Cypress St and widow of Joe William “Dub” Shockley passed away Monday, September 17, 2018 at the Laurens County Hospice House.
She was born in Laurens County and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Annie Ruth Strange Samples.
Mrs. Shockley was retired from Clinton Mills and was a member of the Believers Assembly.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy McMinn (Theo Rice) of Clinton and Teresa Crowe (Stan) of Cherokee, NC; her sisters, Sylvia Franklin and Judy Penvose; grandchildren, Ashley Eubanks, Josh Eubanks, Jeff Reece (Jessica), Kyle Reece; great-grandchildren, Addye Bouslay, Damien Roeker, Jeffrey Reece, Jackson Reece, Brianna Patterson, Brayon Patterson, Kinsley Crowe.
In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and David Samples and a sister, Bertie Sue Shelton.
Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, Sept. 20th at 2:00 P.M. at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

The family will be at the home of her sister, Judy Penvose, 481 Curry Rd., Laurens, SC 29360.
