Shirley Pennington Bodie

Shirley Pennington Bodie, age 61 of 103 Knollview Dr. died Sunday, January 2, 2011 at her home.
She was born in Laurens and was the daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson and Lola Mae Hughes Pennington.
Mrs. Bodie was retired from W.W. Grainger Company in Fountain Inn and attended the First Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are her husband, William Terry Bodie of the home; three sons, John Cayle Sharpe and wife, Pam of Hickory Tavern, Sterling Bodie and wife, Patrice and Brandon Bodie and wife, Lenlee all of Laurens; two daughters, Cheryl Whitmore and husband, Tim of Cross Anchor, Angie Wilson and husband, Todd of Laurens; one brother, Woodrow Wilson “Pedro” Pennington, Jr. and wife, Linda of Dublin, GA; one sister, Martha Ann Barker of Fountain Inn and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Jan. 5th at 3:00 p.m. in the First Assembly of God Church with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
