Sibyllea Todd Mixon

Sibyllea Todd Mixon, age 84 widow of Dr. David T. Mixon, passed away Friday, August 29, 2014 at the Hospice House of Laurens County.
She was born in Horry County and was a daughter of the late Memory and Lucille Cox Todd.
Mrs. Mixon was a 60 year resident of Clinton and worked with her husband as Office Manager in his Optometry practice, as well as, taking care of their home and raising their children. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clinton.
She was a fiercely independent lady. She was nearly inseparable from her sister and was happiest when her family was near. She loved most in life watching her children and grandchildren grow up.
She is survived by her son, David Mixon Jr. of Montgomery, AL; her daughter, Phillis Mixon Holland (Jerry) of Lake Oconee, Ga; her brothers Joseph Todd (Phyllis) of Conway and Charles Todd (Nannette) of Honea Path; her sister, Jewell O’Neill of Clinton; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Cryptside services will be held on Monday, September 1st at 3 p.m. at Pinelawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends an hour before the service, 2 to 3 p.m. at Pinelawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
