Sterling (Chick) Adair Pitts, Jr.

Sterling (Chick) Adair Pitts, Jr. age 93 of 406 E. Florida St., passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016 at his home.
He was born in Columbia, SC and was the son of the late Sterling Adair Pitts, Sr. and the late Katie Bell Hargrove Pitts.
Mr. Pitts was a former employee of Young’s Pharmacy and later retired from Whitten Center as a Pharmacy Technician. He was a member of Broad St. United Methodist Church, a US Navy veteran of WWII, and a member of American Legion Post 56.
Surviving are his wife Elizabeth (Lib) Shouse Pitts of the home; a daughter, Barbara Pitts Campbell (William) of Clinton; grandchildren, Brantley Jennings Nelson (Chris), Barrett Alston Jennings (Jamie), Meredyth Campbell Beagen (Larry), Heather Elizabeth Campbell (Timothy Roach, Jr.), and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Feb. 28 at 3:00 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
