Steve Lanford, age 58 of 1838 Beaverdam Church Rd., died Tuesday, Feb. 13th in the St. Francis Hospital in Greenville.
He was born in Clinton and was a son of the late Harry M. and Dorothy Kelley Lanford.
He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina; a member and deacon of Beaverdam Baptist Church, an employee of Solutia Inc. in Greenwood; a member of Campbell Lodge #44 AFM and a veteran of the Vietnam War where he was a recipient of the Bronze Star.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Moore Lanford of the home, two sons, Ben Lanford and his wife, Allison of Mountville and Will Lanford of Mountville; two sisters, Sandra L. Bragg and husband, Bingo of Laurens and Denise Gaddis and husband Frank of Clinton, grandson, Gus Lanford.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Feb. 16th at 2:00 p.m. in Beaverdam Baptist Church by Rev. Phil Bryson with burial in the Beaverdam Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home of Clinton.
The family is at the home of his son, Ben Lanford, 1138 Teague Rd., Mountville.
