Suzanne Slater Miller, age 84, of Mountville, passed away September 9, 2016, at Laurens County Hospital.
She was born in Rochester, New York in 1932. She was the daughter of Marcella Conboy Slater and Thomas Franklyn Slater. She grew up in Williamstown, Massachusetts, and graduated from Williamstown High School. She then attended Marjorie Webster Junior College in Washington DC. She married Major Jim W. Miller, Jr. in Houston Texas and they followed his Air Force career, living in Germany for three years and the rest in Texas. She joined the Mountville Presbyterian Church in 1982. She is survived by her daughter, Judith Miller Lesley and her son, Robert Miller. She was the grandmother of Judith’s children, Tyler, Taylor, and Alexandra, and Robert’s children, Kimberly and Abbey.
Graveside services will be held at the Mountville Presbyterian Church on Monday, September 12, 2016, at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held after the burial service at the graveside.
