Sybil Kathleen Coats Martin

Sybil Kathleen Coats Martin, 88 of 19075 Hwy.221 North and widow of Herbert Jacks Martin passed away Friday, Dec. 14th at the McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville, SC.
She was born in Laurens County and was a daughter of the late Gilliam B. and Annie Rachel Whitmire Coats.
Mrs. Martin was a graduate of Ford High School, a lifetime member of the Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, a former employee of J.P. Stevens Watts Plant and a homemaker. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving are her daughter, Jane Robbs and husband, Henry of Laurens, two wonderful grandchildren, Melanie Rachel and Jacob Henry Robbs; a sister, Sara Coats Babb of Laurens; a nephew, Martin H. Babb of Seattle, WA and a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Martin of Gray Court.
In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a brother, A.V. Coats.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Dec. 17th at 3:00p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. David Bonner. Burial will be in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday at the funeral home from 2:00 to 2:45p.m.
