Terry Edward Lyda

Terry Edward Lyda, 64, of 1934 Milam Road, widower of Donnie Patterson Lyda, passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 at Fountain Inn Nursing and Rehab.
He was retired from Torrington in Clinton, SC and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Laurens, SC.
Born in Laurens, he was the son of Edward and Pat Lyda of Salem, SC and Doris Blackman and the late Luby Blackman of Joanna, SC. He is also survived by his son, Christopher (Adrienne) Lyda of Laurens; his brothers, Gary (Anna Marie) Lyda of Joanna and Scott (Tosha) Lyda of Whitmire; a sister, Patricia (Jeff) Williams of Lilburn, GA; three step brothers and one step sister, his granddaughter, Chloe Lyda and a grandson, Hudson Lyda, due February 11; a sister-in-law, Dianne McPeeks and brother-in-law, Sonny Patterson, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife, step father, grandparents, Jimmy and Annie Lyda and Pete and Minnie Lee Butler, and his precious grandson, Otis Ray Lyda.
The family would like to thank the staff of Fountain Inn Nursing and Rehab, Fountain Inn and Heartland Hospice of Simpsonville for the excellent care of Terry during this past year.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 22, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton with Interment at Pinelawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
