Terry Douglas Smith

Terry Douglas Smith, age 76, widower of Shirley "Jean" Smith, passed away, Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Prisma Health Laurens County Hospital.

He was born on November 5, 1948 in Clinton, South Carolina and was the son of the late Walter Lee Smith and Connie T. Moore Smith. Terry was a printer, boiler maker, contractor and former pastor of the Church of God faith. In his spare time, you could find him “crappie” fishing. 

Terry is survived by his son, Terry Lee Smith of North Charleston; his daughter, Angela Denise Smith of Laurens; his brother, Macon Joe Smith of Stanley, NC; his sister, Sara Hatley of Spartanburg; his two grandsons, Wesley Davis and Jonathan Smith and his two great-grandchildren, Arya Davis and Michael Davis.

In addition to his parents and his first wife Shirley Ruth Smith, he is preceded in death by his brother, Pete Smith and his sister, Nancy Bagwell.

The family will greet friends on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Gray Funeral Home of Clinton.
