Thelma M. McCarthy age 98 and the widow of J. F. McCarthy, Sr. died Sunday, April 23, 2006 in the National Healthcare of Clinton.
She was born in Ninety Six, SC and was a daughter of the late Thomas Adgar and Rachel Butler Morse.
Mrs. McCarthy was retired from Greenwood Mills, Blalock Plant in Joanna and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Joanna.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara McCarthy Willingham and husband, Richard of Joanna; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two sons, J.F. McCarthy, Jr. and Douglas Rudolph McCarthy.
A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday, April 25th at 3:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Joanna.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. at the church.
