Thelma Russ Nelson

Thelma Russ Nelson age 82, was called home by the Lord Thursday, December 24, 2009 at the Hospice House of Laurens County.
She was a life-long resident of Clinton, the daughter of the late Henry D. and Lola Hughes Russ, a faithful member of the Calvary Baptist Church, a remarkable homemaker, beloved Mother, dear friend and devoted “Granny” and “Great Granny”.
She is survived by one son, Thomas E. Nelson, Jr. of Laurens; one daughter, Jean Perna of Columbia; one brother, Rev. Roy Russ of Laurens; two grandchildren, Jason Nelson of Laurens, Jennifer Nelson Harris and husband, Anthony of Clinton; two great grandchildren, Alyssa and Katelyn.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Dec. 27th at 1:00 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Phil Bryson with burial in the Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
