The Rev. Ann G. Meier, age 66 of 307 E. Florida St. died Friday. March 14, 2008 at her home.
She was born in Greenwood, SC and was a daughter of the late Horace M. and Ruth Smith Geer.
Rev. Meier had pastored Bethany Lutheran Church in Lexington and supplied other Lutheran Churches in South Carolina. Prior to going into the ministry she was an avid director and actress with The Clemson Little Theater, Oconee Community Theater and the Foothills Playhouse of Easley. She recently has been active in the SC Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
Surviving are her husband, Gordon Meier of the home, three sisters, Mel Harriss and husband, Jim of Clemson, Gail Geer of Humble, TX, Dale Martin and husband, Donnie of Coldspring, TX, two nephews, David Harriss of Clemson, Matt Harriss of Berkeley, CA, and an aunt, Mae Nelson of Clinton.
A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday, Mar. 18th at 3:00 p.m. in the St. John’s Lutheran Church officiated by Rev. Denise Seymour followed by a committal service in Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will greet friends the hour before the memorial service at the church.
