Thomas "Tommy" Harris

Thomas “Tommy” Harris, age 57, husband of Dianne Dickerson Harris, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at his home.

He was born on July 14, 1967 in Clinton, South Carolina and was the son of the late Thomas “Tommy” Earl Harris and Shirley Starnes Brubaker and his stepdad of 45 years the late Glenn Brubaker. Tommy worked in textiles for Clinton Mills – Lydia Plant and Enoree Mills. He also worked in maintenance at Presbyterian Home. He was a Pastor in the Baptist Faith last serving Grace Baptist Church of Whitmire.

In addition to his wife of 39 years, Tommy is survived by his sons, Thomas J. Harris, Jr. of the home and Pastor Joshua W. Harris (Karen) of Laurens; his daughter, Kayla King (Pastor Travis King) of Cross Hill; his sister, Terri Dotson (Tim) of Waterloo; his grandchildren, Kaydan Sinclair, Dawson Adams, Alex Kirby, A.J. Kirby and Ashley Neal (Brandon); his five great-grandchildren; his stepsisters, Debbie Vines and Tammy Brubaker.

Tommy is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Angela Laws.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 2536 Indian Mound Road, Laurens, SC. with Pastor Joshua W. Harris and Pastor Travis King. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.

The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the church prior to the service.
