Thomas Samuel Heffner went to his heavenly paradise on July 8, 2017 after a long battle with cancer.
He was born in Fletcher, North Carolina the son of the late Joe Lee and Lucille Johnston Heffner. He is survived by his wife Frances Silver Heffner, two sisters, several nieces and a nephew. He was blessed with a large family of friends.
He resided in Mills River, North Carolina for 54 years. The last 10 years in Clinton, South Carolina.
He enjoyed all things Land and Cattle and was a proud member of Laurens Cattlemen Association, South Carolina Cattlemen Association, North Carolina Cattlemen Association, and National Cattlemen Association.
Being a lifelong Farmer and Cattleman, he enjoyed great satisfaction and was extremely grateful for his life on the farm.
A special thanks to the folks at Self Cancer Center in Greenwood for their special care and kindness, Hospice of Lauren County for all the special people who helped and especially to all the many friends that loved and cared for him and included him in their prayers.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 6 PM at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton. The family will receive friends immediately after the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Hospice of Laurens County, P. O. Box 187, Clinton, SC 29325 or a cancer center of your choice.
