Thomas Eugene Meeks, 75, of 20 Peachtree Street passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at his home.
He was born in Laurens County and was a son of the late James Collier Meeks and Frances Holmes Meeks.
Mr. Meeks was retired from Clinton Mill and was a 20 year veteran of the South Carolina National Guard. He was a member of the Lydia Presbyterian Church and was an avid fisherman and loved to garden.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Meeks of the home; his son, Richard Wayne Meeks of Clinton; daughters, Patricia Dianne Easter (Ernie) of Laurens and Pamela Ann Alewine of Clinton; a brother, Louis “Buck” Meeks of Clinton; a sister, Susie Madden (George) of Laurens; a sister-in-law, Gail Meeks of Clinton; four grandchildren, Christopher Thomas Easter, Cameron Matthew Meeks, Jessica Lauren Meeks and Ashley Victoria Alewine and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Meeks is predeceased by two brothers, James William (Jimmy) Meeks and Kenneth Edwin Meeks; a son-in-law, Arthur Alewine.
A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Pinelawn Memory Garden.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
The family will be accepting flowers or memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 950 W. Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605.
