Thomas H. Wiggs

Thomas H. Wiggs, age 79, of 1189 Sunset Blvd. died Friday, Mar. 11th at the Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood, SC.
He was born in New Bern, NC and was a son of the late Rev. N.D. and Mamie Davenport Wiggs.
Mr. Wiggs was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clinton and member of the Signet Sunday School Class, he was a Scottish Rite Mason and member of the Campbell Masonic Lodge No. 44, as well as, a member of the Hejaz Shrine Temple.
Mr. Wiggs spent 48 years in the Retail Business, 30 years with S.H. Kress Managing stores in Kansas, New Jersey, New York City, North Carolina, South Carolina and 10 years with T.G.& Y. as manager in Clinton, SC and before retiring, worked 8 years with Wal-Mart, Laurens Store as an Assistant Manager.
Surviving are his wife, Genevieve “Jenny” Wiggs of the home; two sons, Thomas H. Wiggs II and wife, Donna of Spartanburg, SC and John T. Wiggs of Wilmington, NC; a granddaughter, Jennifer Wiggs Nevis; a great granddaughter, Lauren and great grandson, Luke all of York, SC.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Paul R. Wiggs and N.D. Wiggs II.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Mar. 14th at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church with burial at Pinelawn Memory Gardens with Masonic Rites.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
