Thomas R. Wicker

Thomas R. Wicker, age 83 of 2306 Hwy 72 died Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at the Laurens County Hospital.
He was born in Whitmire and was a son of the late Sligh and Mattie Elnoria Sanders Wicker.
Mr. Wicker retired from the Town of Whitmire as manager of the Water Treatment Plant for 35 years, after his retirement he continued working self employed, as a plumber and electrician. He was a member of the Whitmire Pentecostal Holiness Church.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Viola Howell Wicker of the home; two sons, Ray Wicker of Taylors and Bernard Wicker of Whitmire; four grandsons, Phillip Wicker, Jeremiah Wicker, Jared Wicker and Nathan Wicker and one granddaughter, Katherine Wicker.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Oct. 1st at 2:00 p.m. in the Whitmire Pentecostal Holiness Church by Rev. Eddie Duncan with burial in the Whitmire Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Whitmire Pentecostal Holiness Church.
