Dateline-Kinards, SC
Tillman E. Crapps, age 91 of 201 Crosson Street, Newberry, died Tuesday, June 14, 2011.
He was born in Lexington County and was a son of the late Johnny Jacob and Mattie Odell Clamp Crapps.
He was retired from Greenwood Mills, Joanna Plant, was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and was a WW II US Army Veteran.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, Phillip O. (Gerda) Crapps of Kinards and Wayne T. (Helen) Crapps of Lancaster; two daughters and their husbands, Christianne C. (Ronald) McGuirt of Kinards and Henrietta (Nettie) C. (Milton) Shealy of Newberry; two brothers, Tallie Crapps of Kinards and Harry Crapps of Leesville, three sisters, Myrtle B. Boughman of Graniteville, Alice Hunnicutt of Kinards and Lucy Hall of Aiken; thirteen grandchildren, twenty great- grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Mr. Crapps was predeceased by his wife, Mary Ownby Crapps, a son, Milton E. Crapps, brothers, Felton W. Crapps, Milas Crapps and Earl Crapps and sisters, Maggie Robinson and Naomi Wicker.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday,June 16th at 2:00 p.m. in Fairview Baptist Church by Rev. Mark Bernshausen with burial in Fairview Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
