Tim Lee Howard, age 72, of Janesville passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at NHC HealthCare in Laurens, South Carolina. He was born in Janesville, Wisconsin on May 18, 1951, the son of Fred and Jeanette (Playter) Howard.
Tim attended Clinton Schools and graduated in 1969. He then went on to attend UW-Madison agricultural short course.
Tim was a farmer all his life. He especially loved raising angus cattle and training his oxen. Tim also worked for Prairie Avenue Concrete for 20 years, retiring in 2018. Tim was happiest being outside working with his animals, mowing the lawn, and driving around the neighborhood on his gator. He never missed an opportunity to attend the Rock County 4-H fair and volunteered for many years with the Rock County Beef and Pork Producers, as well as the LaPrairie 4-H Club and Clinton FFA.
What brought Tim the most joy was being with his family. He enjoyed attending sporting events, plays, and horse, goat, and pig shows to cheer on his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Above all, Tim will be remembered for his kindness, willingness to help anyone at any time, and his ability to strike up a conversation with anyone. He truly never met a stranger.
Tim was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Mary, his parents, Fred and Jeanette Howard, and his brother, Dan Howard. Tim is survived by his children, Tammy (Ryan) Mueller, Paul (Tracy) Howard, Tim (Jennifer) Howard and Ronda Howard, his 7 grandchildren, Dylan, Evan, Brett, Aaron (Dulce), Bryna, Mary Ryan, Kate, and 4 great-grandchildren, Dallas, Aidan, Adriian, and Emma, as well as many in-laws, nieces and nephews and their families.
