Timothy Wayne Merchant, Sr.

Timothy Wayne Merchant, Sr., age 68, of Kinards, SC, widower of Betty Jean Harvey Merchant, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024 at his home.

Born January 9, 1956 in Newberry County, SC, he was a son of the late C.T. and Mary Deaton Merchant. Wayne retired from the textile industry and was of the Church of God faith. He loved hunting and fishing more than anything.

 He is survived by his son, Wayne Merchant, Jr. (Vanessa); his granddaughter, Danielle Cox (Bubble); his great-grandson. Cade Haynes: his brother, Eugene Merchant, his sisters, Carolyn Huey, Kathy Merchant, and Diane Parks.

In addition to his parents and wife of 49 years, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Curtis Merchant and Frank Merchant; and his sister, Colene Young.

A Graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 6, 2024 at the Little River Dominick Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. James Harvey officiating.

Gray Funeral Home of Clinton is assisting the Merchant family with services.
