Valarie "Bal Bal" Conner Howard

 Valarie “Bal Bal” Howard, passed away, Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at her home in Kinards, SC, at the age of 65. 

 Val was born to late Barbara and Bentley Conner on March 6, 1959 as the oldest of three girls. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Donna and Kaye. Val was the beloved wife of the late Richard “Pete” Howard. She loved being a wife and a homemaker. Her passion was to care for others and that is just what she did. You often would find her baby sitting rather it was working in a nursery such young world or the church nursery or simply at her home. She loved children and the excitement they would get when she would teach them new things. Many of the Joanna children have been in her home sometime throughout her life. She welcomed all! She took care of family members in their darkest time or the happiest of times. 

 Val will be forever remembered by her beloved children, Jeremy (Chacie) Howard and Matthew (Tiffany) Waldrop. Val’s only daughter Heather went to be with Jesus in 2001 and it left a void in her life for many years until she became Bal Bal by her first born grandchild. Val will be truly missed by her grandchildren (bonus), Conner and Craig Howard, Rylenn Waldrop, Emalyn Sward, and Jayley and Johnna Gibbs. 

 Val and Pete were only blessed with two children known as bubba and lil sis but cared for and loved many others as their own. Lamar, Ashley, Buck, Blake, Erin are just a few to name that came through their doors often. Val leaves behind many beloved family and special friends. 

 A special Thanks to Sammy Shipes for all you’ve done. 

 The family will be at the home of her son, Jeremy. 

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, November 17, 2024 at 3 PM at Breakthrough Tabernacle, 122 Whitmire Highway Joanna, SC with Missy Welchel officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service. 

 In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any donations to Gray Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
