Valeria R. Inman, age 71, of 99 Maxwell Drive, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Whitmire and was a daughter of the late Leroy and Lucille McMurtury Rochester.
Ms. Inman was a former employee of Whitten Center and later retired from the South Carolina Department of Special Needs and Disabilities. She was also a member of the Heritage Wesleyan Church.
She is survived by her two daughters, Heather Bodie (Kenneth) of Whitmire and Amanda Horton (Michael) of Whitmire; her six grandchildren, Seth Horton, Beth Miller, Cory Horton, A.J. Horton, Kenny Bodie, Jr., and Matthew Bodie; her five great-grandchildren, Isabella Miller, Adelyn Miller, Mason Horton, Serenity Horton, and Ayden Horton.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 5, 2018 at 12 PM at the Heritage Wesleyan Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 to 12 PM at the church.
The family will be at 192 Sims Street, Whitmire, SC 29178.
