Valerie Prather Malpass

Valerie Prather Malpass, age 65 of 98 Mandy Coleman Rd. died Sunday, February 13, 2011 at the Hospice of Laurens County Hospice House.
She was born in Clinton, SC and was a daughter of the late Samuel Walter and Ada Hill Prather.
Mrs. Malpass was retired from Jostens Cap and Gown in Laurens, SC and was a member of the Believers Assembly Church.
Surviving are her husband, John Malpass of the home; three sons, Marty Ray Crain and wife, Vickie of Ware Shoals, Reggie Craine and wife, Renee of Mountville, and Chad Malpass of the home; two daughters, Beverly “Bunny” Kelly and husband, Jeff and Wanda Shockley and husband, Joe all of Mountville; one brother, William “Billy” Prather and wife, Marlene of Laurens; one sister, Sandra Staton and husband, Bruce of Laurens; twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a sister, Donna Faye Bull, a grandson, James Ray Summers and a great grandson, Christopher Lee Huckabee.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Feb. 16th at 4:00 in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home, 98 Mandy Coleman Rd, Mountville, SC.
