Velma Jean Brown, age 82, formerly of 1135 Reed Ave., widow of Charles E. Brown, died Sunday, March 11, 2012 in the Wallace Thomson Hospital in Union.
She was born in Spartanburg County and was a daughter of the late John and Lois Nichols Brown.
Mrs. Brown was a loving mother and homemaker. She was predeceased by two children, Charles E. Brown, Jr. and Darlene B. Lee.
Surviving are a son, Roy Edward Brown of Whitmire and a daughter, Christina Lee of Whitmire, and a grandchild, Misty Brown of Columbia, Missouri.
Mrs. Brown will long be remember by family and friends.
