Vera E. Bodie

Vera E. Bodie, age 73, of 623 Whitmire Hwy, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 29, 2013, at her home.
She was born in Laurens County and was a daughter of the late Charles W. and Blanche Bradley Estes.
Mrs. Bodie was active for many years with the Joanna Textile Festival and was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church in Joanna.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Gary D. Bodie, of the home; two sons, Chuck Bodie, and Joey Bodie, both of Clinton; two daughters, Rhonda B. Prater, of Clinton, and Roxane Snelgrove, of Joanna; one brother, David E. Estes, of Moore, SC. She was a loving Nannie to her twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bodie was predeceased by a brother, Bobby Estes, and a sister, Shirley E. Adam.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 2nd, at 11:00 a.m. at Epworth United Methodist Church in Joanna with burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Laurens.
Her body will be taken to the home where the family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 4 to 8 p.m.
