Virgil Donald Dill

Virgil Donald Dill, age 79, of 272 Griffin Road, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood.
Mr. Dill was born in Newberry and was a son of the late Henry Preston Dill and Lydia Worthy Charles.
He was retired from the American Citadel Guard.
He was an army veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by a son, Mickey Dill and wife, Lori of Lyman; two daughters, Donna Carver and husband, Dale of Fountain Inn and Kim Thomason of Wellford; a brother, Nathanial Dill and wife, Joyce of Griffin, GA; his ex-wife, Barbara B. Smith of Wellford and an extended family, Rick Bennett, Sandra Myers and the rest of his lake family; and a very special aunt, Mary Williamson of Whitmire; four grandchildren, Lori Ann and Ashley Cooper, Casey Lane Leroy and husband, Austin, and Cliff Dill and wife, Amber; and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Dill was predeceased by a son, Ricky Dill and a brother, Jack Dill.
A memorial service will be conducted Monday, April 23rd at 1:00 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Whitmire.
The family will be at their respective homes.
