Virginia Bailey Irvine

Virginia Bailey Irvine, age 81, formerly of 112 Woodlawn Drive and widow of Dr. William D. Irvine died Saturday, November 1, 2008 in the Agape Senior Assisted Living Center.
She was born in West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Essie Roscoe and Sadie Lee White Bailey.
Mrs. Irvine was a registered nurse, a homemaker and was a member of the St. James United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Sarah Irvine Cheek and her husband, Hal of Gray Court and Rebecca Irvine Smith and her husband, James of Columbia; two sisters, Eunice Dillon and Carolyn Shrewsbury both of West Virginia and four nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Harold “Cal” Calhoun Cheek, a brother, Hoover Bailey and a nephew, Curtis Brown.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Laurens with interment in the Westview Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
