Virginia Holliday Wilburn

July 7, 1915 — January 19, 2008

Virginia Holliday Wilburn, age 92, widow of B.G. Wilburn of 793 Narnie Rd. died Saturday, January 19, 2008 in the Laurens County Hospital.
She was born in Greenville County and was a daughter of the Ed and Daisy Dunlap Holliday.
Mrs. Wilburn was retired from Clinton Mills Bailey Plant, was a member of the Welcome Baptist Church where she was also a member of the T.E.L. Sunday school class and the Metallic Club.
She is survived by a niece raised in the home, Betty Ann Cannon and her daughter, Tanya Cannon Williams both of Laurens; a special brother-in-law, Lawrence Wilburn and wife, Sylvia of Dallas, GA. and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Joe, Andrew and Pelham Holliday and two sisters, Juanita Deloach and Evelyn Lamb. Mrs. Wilburn was the last surviving member of her family.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, Jan. 22nd at 2:00 p.m. at the Welcome Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Welcome Baptist Church Building Fund, 1825 Hwy. 14, Laurens, SC 29360.
