Virginia Jackson Reeder, age 93 died at the Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center on Tuesday, March 7, 2006. She was the widow of James Burton Reeder and the daughter of the late Grover and Lillie Jackson.
She was the last surviving member of her family. She had lived in Clinton most of her life, lived in Belton for 15 years and at Martha Franks for 1 1/2 years.
Surviving her are her son, Jim Reeder of Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center and her daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Bill Pitts of Belton. Her three grandchildren and spouses are Jenny Pitts McAlister and Doug of Anderson, Anthony Pitts and Sheryl of Anderson, and Brad Pitts and Jennifer of Lexington. She also is survived by 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
The family is at the home of Bill and Martha Pitts in Belton.
Graveside services will be held at Pinelawn Memory Gardens, Hwy. 76 in Clinton on Friday, March 10th at 11:00 a.m. with visitation afterwards. It is respectfully requested that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center, 1 Martha Franks Drive, Laurens, SC 29360.
