Wallace E. (Sonny) Sanford

August 2, 1936 — February 20, 2010

Wallace E. (Sonny) Sanford age 73, of 6498 Hwy. 56 South, died Saturday, February 20,2010 in the Laurens County Hospice House.
He was born in Joanna and was a son of the late Victor and Lois Sanford.
Mr. Sanford was retired from the U.S. Air Force after 21 years of service and was a Member, Deacon and Sunday School Teacher at Eastside Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Lever Sanford of the home; two daughters, Susan Kascsak of Goldsboro, NC and Lori Sanford Heaton of Spartanburg; a son, Gregg E. Sanford of Laurens; a brother, Chuck Sanford of Joanna; a sister, Brenda Campbell of Joanna; six grandchildren, Brandon Hinnant, Gina Hinnant, Ashley Heaton, ChiChi Heaton, Brooks Sanford and Sonny Sanford; four great-grandchildren, Austin Globke, Kaitlyn Cruz, Andrew Hinnant and Jocelyn Sanford.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 24th at 1:00 p.m. in the Eastside Baptist Church with entombment at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening at the church from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastside Baptist Church, 355 Conway Avenue, Laurens, SC 29360.
