Walter C. Holbert, age 85, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Pruitt Health in Aiken.
He was born in Lydia Mill, SC and was the son of the late Hubert L. and Gertrude Elizabeth Colvard Holbert.
Mr. Holbert is survived by his son, Gary Everett Holbert of Moore, SC, his two daughters, Linda Gayle Ballinger of Sarasota, FL, and Teresa “Boobie” Darlene Pope of Ware Shoals, SC; his brother, Dallas Holbert of Laurens; his six grandchildren, Walter Darrell Jr., Veronica Holbert, Michael Holbert, Josylyn Ballenger, Allen Holbert, Calvin Holbert; his four great-grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his son, Walter Darrell Holbert; his brothers, Curtis Holbert and Claudie Odell Holbert; and his three sisters, Helen Louise Frazier, Norma Jean Hamilton, and Gaynell Colvard.
Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 2 PM at Rosemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.
