Wanda Lee Smith

Wanda Lee Smith, age 76, of 109 McGowan St. and beloved wife of A. Merrill Smith died Tuesday, March 14th in the Self Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Delmar, Maryland and was the daughter of the late Thaddeaus and Thirley Brown Dykes.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker of 57 years and was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by eight children, Bonnie Wilson, Georgia Steerman, Frances Robinson, Albert Smith, Jr., Nancy Farnum, Betty Wyatt, David Smith and Grace Anderson; also 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Powell and several half brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the Temple Baptist Church with interment in the Laurens City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the church.
