Wilbur Ray Melton

Wilbur Ray Melton, age 93, and widower of Annie Mabry Melton, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018, in Rainbow, TX.
He was born in Campobello and was a son of the late Joseph and Katheryn Miller Melton.
Mr. Melton retired from Clinton Mills, was an US Marine Veteran of WWII, and a member of the Elizabeth Street Church of God.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy Melton and Joe Rincon of Rainbow, TX; a grandson and his wife, Robbin and Pamela Melton of Shelby, NC; a granddaughter and her husband, Melissa and Charles Ekis of Rainbow, TX; four great-grandchildren, Torrie Watson, Justin Garcia, Stetson Garcia and Christopher Melton; four great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Emma Worley.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Melton was predeceased by a son, Donald Melton, and a grandson, Michael Melton.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 10, 2018, at 1 P.M., at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton, with interment at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 to 7 P.M., at the funeral home.
