William Edward Bigbee

William Edward Bigbee, age 74, husband of Sandra Roth Bigbee, passed away, Saturday, June 1, 2024 at his home.
Billy was born in Clinton, South Carolina on December 2, 1949, and was the son of the late Lawrence Edward and Ila Wright Bigbee.
Billy was a Navy Veteran serving our country in the Vietnam War. He loved being on the water fishing and skiing, camping, sharing stories and telling DAD jokes. He was of the Baptist faith, a Mason and Shriner. Billy excelled in all of his careers such as; owning and operating Bigbee Mechanical, serving as a Corrections Officer for the SC Department of Corrections, Sheriff Deputy and DARE instructor for Laurens County Sheriff Department under Sheriff Eugene Johnson and Sheriff Jim Moore, Police officer for the Mauldin City Police Department, Regional Coordinator for FedEx Loss Prevention and for the last 16 years the owner of Laurens Insurance Agency.
In addition to his wife of 40 years, he is survived by his sons, Bo Bigbee (Erika) of Simpsonville, SC and Cale Bigbee (Kellie) of Liberty, SC; his daughters, Charlotte Kincaid (Kris) of Statesville, NC and Chief Petty Officer Jennifer Bussard (Chris) of Virginia Beach, VA; his sister, Cathy Link (Gregg) of Walhalla, SC and his grandchildren, Millie Bigbee, Mac Bigbee, Layla Sawicki, Samantha Kincaid, Juliette Kincaid, Kennedy Bussard, Sadie Bussard, Caiton Bussard and Logan Bigbee.
Funeral Services will be held at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ben Rumph officiating. Burial will follow with Military Honors at Pinelawn Memory Gardens. The family will greet friends from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the Gray Funeral Home of Clinton prior to the service.
